About

The Sotero+ mask should be worn when there is community spread in your neighbourhood, especially when you can’t maintain a social (physical) distance of 1.5m from others. Wearing a mask may protect you from others who may be transmitting the virus and helps prevent you spreading it to others if you are carrying the virus.

This mask is not suitable for respiratory protection against harmful gases and vapours, including smoke, or in hypoxic, low airflow or underwater environments. It is also not designed for use in medical or clinical care settings.

The WHO advises that children under 6 should not be required to wear masks. Children aged 6-11 should have adequate adult supervision if wearing masks.

How to use

FITTING YOUR MASK

  • Before fitting your mask remember to wash your hands.
  • Stretch out the mask between your hands. The seam that runs across the mask needs to go under your chin.
  • Loop the straps around your ears and adjust as required using the toggles to ensure a snug fit at either side of your face. Sotero’s unique design decreases air escaping from the sides of the mask, ensuring air travels through the mask’s filter, keeping you and the people around you safer.

REMOVING YOUR MASK

  • Material masks are designed to “catch” viruses and prevent spread to others. Masks need to be handled carefully after removal.
  • Place the mask directly into the washing machine or put it into an air-tight bag for washing later. Respect others and don’t leave it lying around.
  • Remember to wash your hands carefully after removing your mask.

CARING FOR YOUR MASK

  • Sotero+ masks should be machine-washed at 60 degrees Celsius or above. Do not use bleach. Wash like colours together.
